Car bomb kills Panama Papers journalist in Malta

15:17 17 Oct, 2017

The car of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia exploded the night before in Malta. In investigative articles, she accused the PM of the country in corruption, in particular revealing that the PM’s wife is linked with an offshore company, registered in Panama, which has received money from Azerbaijani government. The PM and his family vehemently deny the accusations. After the murder of the journalist, PM Muscat condemned the “barbaric attack on human rights and free speech”. The government of Malta has asked American security services for help to solve the case.
