Armenian Men’s National Team wins in Europe Chess Championship
The Armenian Men’s National Chess Team gained the second victory in European Championship on Crete. Levon Aronyan and Gabriel Sargsyan have brought points to our team in the battle with Greece. The Greek answered by beating Sergey Movsisyan, and when Hrant Melkumyan defended his difficult position and saved half a point, the final score was established: 2.5-1.5. Our Women’s Team that has started the championship well, lost to Ukraine yesterday. Today the rival of the Men’s Team is Croatia; women will compete with Serbia.
