7500 euro a month from Baku: Germany delegate to PACE confesses

16:43 09 Nov, 2017

Karin Strentz, Germany’s delegate to PACE, has confessed of receiving cash from Baku to lobby for Azerbaijan at the Assembly. The name of the Christian Democrat member of Parliament was linked to the revelations of Azerbaijani Laundromat. Strenz, who has been in Bundestag for 8 years, issued a 9-page communication, discussing her ties with Azerbaijan and claiming that she is not corrupted. However, the critics do not deem her declarations trustworthy, as she has been receiving 7500 euro a month from Baku.
