16:25 25 Dec, 2017

From the beginning of the year until today 32.5 thousand cars have been imported to Armenia. The number is twice as much as last year. The sum from the customs clearance of these vehicles, exacted for the budget, has increased drastically in comparison to 2016, reaching 23 and a half billion AMD. The vehicle clearance department of the State Revenue Committee ends the year with these impressive numbers: the import of cars to the country has increased by hundred percent in the result of active economy and the appliance of “affair price method” advantageous to for people. According to Babken Ghazaryan, the 20 percent of “iron stallions” brought to Armenia has been imported to the EAEU, predominately to Russia. He has also denied the circulating news, claiming that starting January because of EAEU regulations the customs clearance for vehicles brought from a third country, for instance from Georgia, will increase in price.
